Ownership
The college is a wholly owned Oklahoma Limited Liability Corporation.  Owner, Myra Sellers, is the Managing Member of Standard Beauty College of Oklahoma, L.L.C.  Founded in 1977, the college has experienced dramatic growth and excellence in education, through the continued development of educational programs and activities designed to broaden the training opportunities offered to students.

The college believes in the growth and worth of the person as an individual and as a member of society. We believe that education is a lifelong process that contributes to an enriched human experience, as well as, to the development of career skills. The college is dedicated to providing excellence in its programs and is committed to providing quality education that responds to the needs of the community and to the individual’s needs, interests, and abilities.


Mission Statement
The mission of the college is to employ, encourage and promote the very best skilled people available.  Without great employees, we cannot have a great school. In addition, the mission of the college is to add value to our students and ourselves by expanding our knowledge and to keep up with the trends and fashions that are the backbone of our industry.

Our mission is to provide education in the field of cosmetology arts and sciences, manicuring technology and facial aesthetics for those students who plan to complete the course.

Our mission is to provide programs of technical education to prepare individuals to enter the labor market in the field of cosmetology.  The college will provide both formal and informal programs of study especially designed for adults and out-of-school youth in order to serve the community generally with a continuing educational opportunity.

The College offers educational opportunities leading to diplomas, and/or self-improvement in a supportive learning environment conducive to the development of the student's potential.


Facilities and Equipment
Both well-staffed facilities in the Tulsa area occupy a space greater than 7500 square feet.  The college provides parking for all students and patrons.  The facilities meet all requirements for post secondary education of state and federal agencies.  Modern equipment and materials are furnished for lab, practice, training and observation, and can accommodate all students enrolled.  The facilities consist of: lab (clinic areas), workstations, classrooms, restrooms, library, reception area, offices, and teaching aides.
